About SMC Industrial Division UK Ltd SMC Industrial Division UK Ltd is the sister company of hugely reputable company SMC Industrial B.V. which was first set up in 2009 after seeing a viable market in countries where other companies just didn't really care to do business because of the difficulties in working in these regions. After having a combined history of three decades working in these frontier regions, we knew the market and decided to set up a supply company selling high quality goods and services to markets that had previous been starved of quality, and soon found a reasonable turnover in our supply of the following;-
- Goodyear branded conveyor belting
- Our own branded belting
- Excel Foundry (part of the hugely successful FL group of companies), offering crusher parts and machine undercarriages.
- Conveyor related equipment, such as idlers, tracking systems, scrapers, drums, motors and gearboxes
- Vulcanising Equipment
- Belt reeling equipment
- Steel cord scanning equipment
- Repair Materials
- PU Coating systems
- Conveyor belt repair and vulcanising service.
After less than two years, we embarked on joint venture with Citeco in Nigeria, to form SMC Citeco, then a joint venture wth MES quickly followed to form MES SMC in Ghana and also to build our own manufacturing facility in India, where we manufacture Drum Lagging with or without ceramic tiles, and with or without studded profiling. These laggings are fitted on the largest drums in the world, situated in Brazil due to high specifications reached during tests. Also made in the same facility are belt reelers, scrapers, vulcanising equipment and many other conveyor system related equipment.

Next came SMC Beltec in Spain, with a former colleague from our Dunlop days, again a joint venture.

Finally, with Mr Malcolm Taylor with whom we have had very good relations with for Thirty-years, we have decided to look to the UK market in order to have stability in the European market, and to allow us to grow and hold in the UK Personnel for use in bigger projects across the world. It is this idea that has given birth to SMC Industrial Division UK Ltd.

At the moment we have approximately 45 employee's in various countries, and with site servicing, having employee's on fixed contracts at different sites, add a few more to that figure.

Finally, we have been asked by a belt manufacturing company in Poland to set a service facility in their region to cover underground vulcanising. Furthermore, another business venture in South Africa is near complete, for the servicing of Gold mining in the region there.

SMC Industrial is proud to be a distributor of Excel Foundry out of the USA selling crushing and excavator parts.

We offer a full range of rubber conveyor belting. From the smallest EP fabric belts to the worlds heaviest ST belts. SMC Represents the premium Goodyear brand and we also manufacture our own SMC branded conveyor belts. Our in house technical know how ensures that we will be able to offer the best and most economical conveyor belt for the job. Our product program includes all additional conveyor products like, adhesives, (ceramic) pulley lagging, repair materials, skirting rubber etc. Most products are stocked to ensure quick delivery.
