In 2010 Dawn Ward had a spare bedroom and an idea.
Family members around her were getting married, and she noticed all too often their less-than-satisfactory experiences: pushy sales staff, over the top prices, lack of personal service.
A lifetime lover of dresses , Dawn had always wanted to own a dress shop. But life happened. Two sons and many years later, Dawn retired early from her career in hospitality - now was the time to start her dream job.
With satin and tulle in mind, she cleared out her spare bedroom and created an in-home bridal shop. Starting with ex-sample gowns she soon found that brides wanted made to order gowns. Dawn prided herself in her patented one-to-one attention and the comfortable and inviting atmosphere her home could provide. Dresses, tiaras,and brides, oh my.
After much success, many happy customers and a chance meeting with a like-minded lady at a bridal fair, ideas combined and Perfect Day was born

Welcome to Perfect Day for Quality and Affordability Established in 2011 Perfect Day started life in a room at he home of the owner Dawn Ward where the gowns sold were ex samples. Gradually realizing that brides wanted gowns made to fit them but still at affordable prices, new premises were sought, designers enlisted, stock bought and Perfect Day was born.

With our reputation for quality gowns and excellent customer service Perfect Day is growing from day to day. We are a small family business selling bridal wear from designers Victoria Kay and Phoenix Gowns and Bridesmaids from Eden Bridals.

Situated in the quaint market town of Thorne , Doncaster we have a downstairs we have a spacious bridal room and upstairs a lovely room for your maids where our friendly experienced staff will help you find our beautiful bridal gowns, bridesmaid and flower girl dresses and accessories.

We offer a range of services including, an independent seamstress, dressing service on your wedding day, dress cleaning, dress steaming, dress packing for storage or travel abroad.

Appointments are not always necessary but are advisable. Each appointment is approximately 2 hours with no limit on the amount of gowns you can try. We also allow you to take a photograph if you so wish.
